A Transgressive Dinner Party

As I point out in Stranger God, we experience Jesus' hospitality as transgressive.

The welcome Jesus extends goes against our emotional grain, it offends our sensibilities.

When we sit at a table being hosted by Jesus there is going to be somebody sitting across from me I wish hadn't been invited.

Jesus' table makes for awkward dinner companions.
